Pilot Transfer Program (PTP) — Rules and Terms & Conditions

1. Program Overview

The Coast Flight Training Pilot Transfer Program (the “Program” or “PTP”) is a free promotional incentive program that enables eligible transfer students to earn training credits ranging from $1,000 to $1,500 per qualifying rating toward the cost of completing subsequent FAA pilot certificates and ratings commenced at Coast Flight Training and Management, Inc. (“Coast”). PROGRAM CREDITS ARE AVAILABLE ONLY FOR RATINGS A PARTICIPANT BEGINS AT COAST AFTER COMPLETING ANY RATING THEY WERE ALREADY PURSUING AT THE TIME OF TRANSFER. NO CREDIT IS ISSUED FOR ANY IN-PROGRESS RATING (as defined in Section 3). These Rules and Terms & Conditions (“Program Rules”), together with any documents they reference, govern participation in the Program and constitute the entire understanding between you and Coast regarding the Program.

2. Eligibility

The Program is open only to students who (a) are actively pursuing flight training, (b) hold a current, valid FAA pilot certificate, and (c) are accepted into the Program by Coast under Section 3. Participation is personal to the accepted student and may not be transferred to anyone else.

3. Screening and Acceptance

To be considered, you must submit your training records, logbook entries, and any additional documentation Coast reasonably requests, and you must complete Coast’s screening process, which consists of a screening call, a complimentary two-hour training event that includes a flight with a Coast instructor, and a records review. If you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you must also complete all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Alien Flight Student Program (AFSP) vetting and receive TSA approval before beginning any flight training at Coast; Coast cannot accept you into the Program until TSA approval is confirmed. For an applicant pursuing pilot training toward the PPL, Coast’s screening and acceptance process under this Section 3 additionally requires logbook documentation showing successful completion of the applicant’s first student pilot solo flight, including the applicable FAA § 61.87 endorsement, signed and dated by an authorized flight instructor. An applicant pursuing pilot training toward the PPL who has not yet completed their first student pilot solo is not eligible as a transfer student for Program purposes and the Program does not apply to them. This documentation is used solely to confirm the applicant’s Program eligibility under this Section 3 and has no bearing on, and is not a condition of, the applicant’s eligibility for or receipt of any Program credit under Section 5, 6, or 7. The solo endorsement is not a mechanism for earning a training credit. During the records review, Coast determines from the applicant’s logbook and training records which certificate or rating the applicant is already partway through at their prior provider (the “In-Progress Rating”). This determination is administrative, made by Coast’s admissions or compliance personnel from submitted records, and is independent of any flight-training progress or instructor endorsement decision at Coast. Program credits apply only to ratings a participant begins at Coast after completing the In-Progress Rating; no credit is issued for the In-Progress Rating itself. Acceptance into the Program is effective only when confirmed by Coast in writing. Coast may decline any applicant who does not meet Coast’s safety, proficiency, training, or operational standards. Approval as a Program participant is through Coast’s written determination, made by Coast’s admissions or compliance personnel applying the objective eligibility criteria set out in this Section 3, that an applicant satisfies the Program’s screening and acceptance requirements. This determination governs only your eligibility to participate in the Program and to become eligible for Program credits under Section 7; it does not affect, and is made independently of, any decision regarding your flight-training progress. Instructor endorsement decisions and other training-progress determinations are made solely by Coast’s flight instructors based on your demonstrated proficiency and are not influenced by, and have no bearing on, your Program eligibility or credit status.

4. The Complimentary Training Event; Liability Waiver

The complimentary two-hour training event is part of the screening process and is provided at no charge. It is not a cash credit, has no cash value, and is not redeemable or exchangeable for cash. Its reference value of “up to $570” is only an estimate of the comparable retail cost of similar instruction; the actual value you receive may be less. Completing the event does not guarantee acceptance into the Program or the award of any credit. Before participating in the training event, you must sign Coast’s standard liability waiver and release, which covers all flight activities during the screening process. You will not be permitted to participate in the training event until the waiver is signed.

5. Training Credit Schedule

Subject to these Rules, an accepted participant may receive the following credit for the corresponding subsequent certificates or ratings the participant commences at Coast (after the one they are already actively pursuing upon joining the Program) upon satisfactory completion of the first stage check completed with Coast for such applicable rating*:

• Private Pilot License (PPL): $1000**;
• Instrument Rating (IFR): $1500;
• Commercial Single-Engine (CSEL): $1500.

* For the avoidance of doubt, no credit will apply to an In-Progress Rating - as defined in Section 3 - except that the PPL credit may be issued during the private pilot certification period as described in Section 7.

**PPL applicants must separately satisfy the Program eligibility documentation described in Section 3, which is unrelated to, and not a precondition of, earning this credit. This credit is earned solely upon satisfactory completion of the first stage check described above. The solo endorsement referenced in Section 3 is not a mechanism for earning a training credit.

6. Maximum Credit; No Guaranteed Amount

Eligible participants may earn training credits ranging from $1,000 to $1,500 per qualifying rating commenced at Coast, with credit amounts for each rating set forth in Section 5. The aggregate maximum available under the Program is $4,000 in total, which can be reached only by a participant who (a) enters the Program after completing their first student pilot solo but before completing PPL training, (b) satisfactorily completes the first stage checks for all eligible ratings listed above, and (c) meets all applicable conditions. Because of the In-Progress Rating rule in Section 7, only a participant who transfers to Coast at or before the post-solo, mid-PPL stage—and then completes PPL, IFR, and CSEL training entirely at Coast—can reach the $4,000 aggregate maximum. Most participants will receive less than the aggregate maximum, and many will receive credit for only one or two ratings. The $570 reference value of the complimentary training event is not a credit, is not part of the per-rating credits or the aggregate maximum, and is not additive to them. Coast does not represent or guarantee that any participant will receive any specific amount of credit.

7. How Credits Are Issued and Applied; Refund Treatment of Credits

Each credit is issued upon your satisfactory completion of the first stage check completed with Coast for the applicable rating. Exception for In-Progress Ratings: No credit is issued for an In-Progress Rating (as defined in Section 3). A participant’s credit eligibility begins only with the next rating they start at Coast after completing the In-Progress Rating. Any credit otherwise attributable to an In-Progress Rating is forfeited; it is not deferred, carried forward, exchanged, or added to the credit for any other rating. PPL Exception: PPL is the sole exception to the In-Progress Rating rule. Because the first-solo requirement in Section 3 already establishes the earliest point at which a student can enter the Program, a participant who transfers to Coast mid-PPL (after completing their first solo) is not disqualified from receiving the PPL credit; that credit is still earned upon satisfactory completion of the first stage check, consistent with the general rule. Consequence: A student who transfers to Coast while already in commercial single-engine training receives no credit for that rating, since there is no subsequent rating in the Program schedule. The CSEL credit is available only to a participant who entered the Program at an earlier rating. Credits are not posted to your student account in advance of use. Each credit is applied against your account only as the corresponding flight instruction for the applicable rating is delivered and billed, so that no unused credit appears on your tuition ledger before it is actually used. Each credit is tied to the specific rating for which you are approved, is non-transferable, has no cash value, and is not redeemable or refundable for cash. Credits may be applied only against your outstanding account balance or flight-training charges at Coast.

Tuition vs. Credit Distinction: Program credits are promotional incentives provided at no separate charge—they are not prepaid tuition, are not funded by any payment you make, and do not constitute consideration paid by you. Credits are applied as a discount against your training charges and are treated separately from tuition you have actually paid for purposes of any refund calculation.

Refund-Subordination Clause: These Program Rules, including all non-refundable, no-cash-value, and credit-forfeiture terms, are expressly subordinate to any non-waivable refund, cancellation, or withdrawal rights you may have under applicable state vocational, career, or private postsecondary school laws and regulations (including, without limitation, California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education regulations and Texas Workforce Commission career-school rules). If you withdraw or cancel your enrollment and are entitled to a refund under any such law, your refund will be calculated based on the tuition and fees you actually paid—not on any Program credits. Coast’s enrollment agreement, school catalog, and applicable state refund policy govern the refund calculation; these Program Rules do not reduce, limit, or waive any such rights. If any term of these Program Rules conflicts with a non-waivable statutory refund right, the statutory right controls and the conflicting term is unenforceable to that extent.

8. Combining Offers

Credits may not be combined with any other promotional offer, discount, or scholarship unless Coast approves the combination in advance in writing.

9. Participant Representations

By applying for and participating in the Program, you represent and warrant that: (a) your participation will not violate or cause you to breach any agreement, contract, or commitment you have with any other flight school, training provider, or third party; (b) you are solely responsible for any obligations you may have to any prior or current flight school, including tuition, fees, or contractual commitments; (c) Coast has not induced or encouraged you to breach any such agreement; and (d) all information you provide to Coast in connection with your application is true, accurate, and complete. Coast is not responsible for any dispute between you and any other flight school arising from your decision to transfer.

10. Nondiscrimination

Coast administers the Program without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. Eligibility and acceptance decisions are based solely on the applicant’s qualifications, training records, and ability to meet Coast’s safety, proficiency, and operational standards. Coast will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with applicable law.

11. Privacy and Use of Records

Coast collects training records, logbook entries, and other documentation you submit solely to evaluate your eligibility for the Program and to administer your participation. Coast will not sell your personal information or use it for purposes unrelated to the Program and your flight training without your consent. Coast maintains reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information you provide. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting Coast at the address in Section 16, subject to Coast’s recordkeeping obligations under FAA regulations and applicable law. 12. VA Education Benefit Participants

Coast participates in U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefit programs at its San Diego flight school only; VA education benefits are not available for flight training at other Coast locations. If you are receiving or plan to receive VA education benefits for your flight training at Coast, you should be aware that: (a) the Program credits are promotional incentives and are not funded by, and do not affect the calculation of, your VA benefits; (b) your eligibility for and the amount of VA benefits are determined solely under applicable federal law and regulations, not these Program Rules; and (c) Coast’s administration of the Program is separate from, and does not influence, Coast’s certification of your enrollment or satisfactory academic progress for VA purposes. If you have questions about the interaction between Program credits and your VA benefits, please contact Coast’s financial aid office before enrolling.

13. Credit Validity

Unless a different period is required by applicable law, each earned credit must be applied within six (6) months after the date it is earned and will expire if not used within that period. Credits are provided as a promotional incentive and are not purchased by the participant.

14. Program Availability, Changes, and Termination

The enrollment offer is valid through October 16, 2026. All flight training remains subject to aircraft and instructor availability, weather, FAA regulations, and Coast’s policies. Coast may modify, suspend, or terminate the Program or amend these Rules at any time; however, credits already earned by an accepted participant before the effective date of any change will be honored on the terms in effect when the credit was earned.

15. General

These Rules are governed by the laws of the state in which your Coast training location operates, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and do not limit any non-waivable rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws of your state or any non-waivable rights under applicable vocational or career school regulations. If any provision of these Rules is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Coast’s failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
